A lot of us have brought lemon plants from nurseries and tried to grow, but when we get the plant a lot of times, there are few or no lemons that grow on the plant. We still keep the plant for the love of caterpillars which feast on it and turn into butterflies.
However, we could also learn from those who have successfully grown lemons.
Cirilo Pereira from Colva has a mother plant and is willing to share seeds with the community. The plant in the picture is from his friend's garden who uses a lot of compost including chicken poop as manure for his plants.
While using compost is important, is there something that we need to do differently. Is it about from where we get the saplings ? Too much water ? Sunlight ?
Anyone can share their experiences ?
